Education:
I
did my undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the Federal University
of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), my master in
Pure Mathematics at IMPA and my PhD at Université Paris 7. I have spent the academic year
2008/2009 as an ATER (teaching and research assistant) at the
University of Paris
7. During the year 2009/2010 I will be a Post Doc at the University of Leiden.

Research:
I study Number Theory. Currently my main interest concerns the applications of
Algebraic Geometry to Diophantine problems. The topic of my doctoral
dissertation, under the supervision of Marc Hindry,
was elliptic curves over function fields. More precisely, I have treated
the problem of comparing the generic rank of an elliptic surface with
that of its fibers.

2. Rank of elliptic surfaces and
base change ( Compte Rendus Acad. Sci. - Mathématiques 347 (2009))
